Our core book in English this week is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Silver Class have become authors and created their own versions of the story.
Silver Class have created lots of work around ‘Remembrance Day’ and we’ve had lots of discussions about why this is a special day to remember.
In Reception, we learned about Diwali and why it is celebrated. We made colourful lanterns and created Rangoli patterns.
Silver Class created a tree of kindness , expressing what kindness means to them and how you can show kindness acts

In Silver Class we learn through play
The Autumn display was done after the children had been on a walk in the peace garden to look for signs of Autumn and then a discussion. The children collected some leaves and other natural materials. We created a word bank of Autumn words to display together with images.
This display is part of our topic ‘All about me.’ We had a discussion about our families. We learnt that there are different types of family and they are all special as are we. The children drew the members of their family.
